"Engineering is the application of mathematics, empirical evidence and scientific, economic, social, and practical knowledge in order to invent, innovate, design, build, maintain, research, and improve structures, machines, tools, systems, components, materials, and processes.
The discipline of engineering is extremely broad and encompasses a range of more specialized fields of engineering, each with a more specific emphasis on particular areas of applied science, technology and types of application.
The term Engineering is derived from the Latin Ingenium, meaning "cleverness" and ingeniare, meaning "to contrive, devise".

Welcome back, Pals!
Alright, this one goes out to all my transitioners out there. So, I know some of you are going to be wondering what gives me the right to speak on transitioning, well, I am a fellow naturalista who went natural through transitioning. Transitioning can be a very hard stage of going natural especially if you do not have enough information about what and what not to do. The following pieces of advice would help you as you go along.
1. Read what there is to know about natural hair.
2. putting your hair in different styles during this stage helps a great deal.
3. be patient because dealing with two different textures is not easy.
4. when your natural hair grows out to a TWA, you can cut off the relaxed ends.
5. Use sulfate free products.
Alright, this is just a tip of the iceberg. In subsequent posts, I'll give more pieces of advice. For the time being, you can check out this wonderful blog by natural hair rules for more help. http://www.naturalhairrules.com/
Welcome to my blog!
I am super excited to have you on my blog! My name is Prevailer Mba and I am a current student of Lonestar College Cy-fair. You can check out my school here. I am currently taking classes to enable me to transfer to A&M sometime next year.
Ok, so I was looking for a topic or a name to give this blog and many thoughts were just running through my mind, like, I was really confused on what to call it. I thought of calling it my name or to spice it up with some funky kind of name, but nah, none of that sounded cool. I decided to call it "live it up!" because I felt it would be a sort of motivation to anyone like me who comes across this blog. When I say "anyone like me", I mean those that feel like they aren't living up to their potentials or aren't satisfied with the way that they are living now. Thank you for your time!
